Your State Privacy Rights

California's "Shine the Light" law (Civil Code Section § 1798.83) permits users of our Website that are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, please send an email to theimaginedlife@theimaginedlife.com.

Although The Imagined Life is located in California, we have reviewed the requirements of the California Consumer Privacy Act and have made the determination that our business does not meet the thresholds that would require us to comply with the obligations of that law. We will continue to evaluate as our business grows, but wish to assure you that The Imagined Life takes your privacy seriously and will comply with this Privacy Policy.

Nevada provides its residents with a limited right to opt-out of certain personal information sales. Residents who wish to exercise this sale opt-out rights may submit a request by email to theimaginedlife@theimaginedlife.com. However, please know we do not currently sell data triggering that statute's opt-out requirements.

Data Security

We have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers behind firewalls.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to our Website. Any transmission of personal information, including when you send us an email, is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Website.

Data Retention

We will only keep your information, including any personal information, for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected it, to comply with our legal obligations, or to enforce our legal rights (or as required so others may enforce their legal rights).

Generally, the length of time we keep your information will depend on the type of information and the purpose for which we are processing it. To determine the appropriate retention period, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the information, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure, the purposes for which we are processing it and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and any applicable legal requirements. Unless required by applicable law, The Imagined Life typically destroys all personal information that we possess about you when you are no longer a student of The Imagined Life studio.

At the end of the appropriate retention period, we will either delete your information from our systems completely or deidentify or anonymize it so it can be used without identifying you and so we no longer have the ability to re-associate the deidentified or anonymized information with you in the future, such as by aggregating the information.
