Our online and in-person acting classes in LA offer the important mirroring experience found by watching and engaging with other artists. Our scene study classes offer a deep dive into scripted material, and includes teaching you how to craft an impactful and influential interpretive framework, what it means to play proactively instead of reactively (i.e., in this business, you don’t want to be practiced at being only as talented as your acting partner) and gives you weekly opportunities to express your authentic, dynamic I AM. How do our classes work? An invitation to participate in The Imagined Life Introductory Workshops, starts by sending your picture and resume to our email or visiting our contact page to learn more. Once invited to participate in the workshop (on zoom or in person), the instructor introduces our philosophy and tools for practical application, but most importantly, the instructor gets to know you and your needs as an artist. Dialogue is the heARTbeat of empathy. We don’t teach an acting method - we teach people. In the second half of the workshop, you get the opportunity to apply and practice the tools, continue the dialogue and ask more questions. In The Imagined Life Introductory Workshop you’ll acquire the tools you need to begin your daily creative practice. Anything you practice- you get good at. After the Introductory Workshop, the instructor will evaluate. If you’re invited to participate in The Imagined Life ongoing classes, you’ll be placed together with the best teacher and class environment for you for a minimum commitment of 24 weeks. Each instructor at The Imagined Life is teaching the same philosophy and tools for practical application.
